Woodpeckers like them
I'm transitioning to winter wild bird feeding to avoid attracting black bears. So far the woodpeckers like the crickets. My hope was the rare red headed woodpeckers would stay and not migrate. They love the feeder. Activity is low since I stopped peanuts and seed feeding, but the crickets eventually disappear from my window feeder. I will reorder if they continue to feed. I mixed in mealworms and fly larvae. The order process was great, and AB Dragons offers the better option to feed wild birds in a forest.
